What is included in the Awaken to Delight membership?

Awaken to Delight is a Charlotte Mason-inspired membership designed to help you cultivate beauty, creativity and delight in your homeschool.

At the heart of our membership is our curriculum, Charlotte Mason Morning Time. Each volume brings together living books, Bible readings, poetry, Shakespeare, artist and picture study, composer study, music, nature, history, and more, into one simple, open-and-go experience—so you can gather your family and begin without hours of planning.

And then we add an abundance of “afternoon occupations” for your kids, teens, and you — from art lessons, to handicrafts, to nature activities, to tea time recipes for baking, and so much more!  

What ages is this designed for?

Awaken to Delight is designed for the whole family to enjoy together.

The morning time plans are designed with elementary through high school (Forms 1-4) in mind. Younger children will absorb the atmosphere and stories, but we have no plans to create curriculum for preschoolers.

High school students will of course have much more requirements from the state to fulfill. However, we include high school level reading, copywork, plus advanced, in-depth art lessons and handicraft projects that they will enjoy.

It works beautifully for families with multiple ages learning side by side.

How long does morning time take?

Most families spend anywhere between 20 minutes to 1 hour a day, depending on the ages of their children and how deeply they want to linger.

You can keep it short and simple or stretch it into a longer, more comprehensive time together. The beauty is its flexibility — and the fact that you're covering all the "riches" of a Charlotte Mason education.

Is this a complete curriculum?

No. Awaken to Delight is designed to enrich your homeschool.

You will need to add a math program, and foreign languages (although, we offer basic Latin and French within our Language Arts resources). High school students will also need sciences with labs to fulfill state requirements.

How does the 4-year history cycle work?

Behind the scenes, Awaken to Delight now follows a gentle four-year historical flow, allowing your family to experience the story of the world over time.

Instead of disconnected topics, your children begin to see how art, music, literature, and culture reflect the ideas of each time period.

After registration, you will be prompted to choose the cycle you want to begin with. Once inside, choose the session you'd like, simply open and begin. Over time, your family will naturally experience a rich and meaningful journey through history.

Each year contains 4—5 History sessions, 3—4 Nature &/or Geography sessions, and 4 seasonal sessions.

After four consecutive years as a member, your payments will stop and you will be automatically converted to "Lifetime Access." Your family will be able to revisit each cycle over and over from elementary through high school.

What are the 4 history cycles?

Year One: Civilizations & The Shaping of Thought: (Ancient History—Classical History) Explore the earliest civilizations and the foundational ideas that shaped human society, from ancient laws and philosophies to the rise of great empires and dynasties.

Year Two: Faith, Power & The Expanding World: (Middle Ages—Age of Exploration) Learn about a world shaped by faith, kingdoms, and exploration as medieval societies, religious movements, and global voyages transform cultures and expand human horizons.

Year Three: Revolution, Industry & The Idea of Progress: (The Enlightenment—Victorian Era) Study an age of bold ideas and rapid change as revolutions challenge old powers, industry reshapes daily life, and new nations and identities begin to emerge.

Year Four: World at War & The Modern Mind: (World War I—Modern Era) Explore the turbulent events of the twentieth century and beyond, tracing how global conflicts, technological advances, and movements for freedom continue to shape the modern world.

Is this curriculum Christian or Secular?

Charlotte Mason said, “The indwelling of Christ is a thought particularly fit for children because their large faith does not stumble at the mystery, their imagination leaps readily to the marvel, that the King Himself should inhabit a little child’s heart,” (Home Education, p. 352).

This curriculum is created from a Christian perspective and is designed to support families who desire to cultivate godly character alongside a rich education.

We include scriptures, prayers, and hymns for copywork, memory work, and recitation. 

What is your Refund Policy?

Because of the downloadable and digital nature of our products, we do not offer refunds.

Please Note: Memberships will recur until you cancel. You may cancel at any time, however there are no partial period refunds.

Upon cancellation, you will continue to receive full access until your year expires. Your membership will not renew.

Lifetime memberships are a one-time discounted payment, and do not recur.  

Can I share my membership account with another family?

No. The membership site is set up to allow for only one family license per user login. Thank you for honoring our hard work by not sharing your login with others.

Are you a vendor for charter schools?

Because we are choosing to keep Christian content in our curriculum, we will not allow state charter school purchases. However, if your charter doesn’t have issues with “religious content” then we will consider working with them.
