We are LOVING The Artful Year! We are not artists, so we're just learning about paints and brushstrokes, and are finding the videos so informative. So grateful to you! I'm recommending this to all my homeschool friends!! Thank you so much!

~ Johanna H.

You're already homeschooling multiple kids in multiple subjects & you want to make art a regular part of your schedule—but figuring out where to begin or when to fit it in can be overwhelming...

There’s a reason you chose to homeschool your children. Deep down you know that you can provide the best education for them. Because no one knows them like you do. And no one loves them as much as you do.

You want to give them the richest, most beautiful education possible. But you realize that you can’t do it all. That’s where the Masterpiece Society comes in.

As a homeschooling family, we completely understand the desire to give your children the best (as well as the stress and/or overwhelm that comes with making sure you cover all the core subjects). That’s why we created beautiful open-and-go art lessons and coursesso that your children can have a rich, well-rounded education without you having to do it all.

We understand that...

  • You want more for your children than the "cutesy" crafts you see all over Pinterest
  • Your kids and teens need more substantial lessons than the "draw-what-I-draw" cookie cutter videos available on YouTube
  • You don't feel "artsy" or "creative" enough to give your kids a quality art education
  • You have no idea which art supplies to use or how to teach various art techniques
  • You can't seem to find the time to pull it all together

Wouldn't it be absolutely wonderful if you had an art program that your whole family—elementary through high school—would LOVE? (Plus clever ways to include the preschoolers who want to be just like their older siblings?)

Step off the homeschool hamster wheel!
Bring color & creativity into your home with The Artful Year! Simply gather your supplies & press play!

Here's What You'll Get:

  • 36 full-length art projects from our seasonal, literary, and master artist-inspired collections so you don't have to plan anything!
  • Video-based, step-by-step instruction that’s easy to follow—no artistic experience required. Rewind, fast forward, or pause whenever needed.
  • A diverse mix of mediums, techniques, and styles to keep kids and teens engaged—no more boredom. (Woot!)
  • Projects suitable for multiple ages and skill levels—everyone is encouraged to make each project uniquely their own, choosing their favorite colors, designs, patterns, etc.
  • Printable templates (tracing patterns) in most lessons for students who aren't confident in their drawing skills or to use as coloring pages so your "littles" can make art alongside their older siblings.
  • Printable schedules—traditional or year round—to align art with the rhythms of your homeschool and help you stay on track through the year.

Most local art lessons cost $25-$35 per class, per child!

With 36 weeks of lessons, at this deeply discounted price,
you'll pay $5.47 per lesson for the ENTIRE family! 🎉

What if your walls became a beautiful gallery lined with your children's art work, proudly displayed for friends & family members to admire?

  • Enjoy watching your kids' and teens' confidence, creativity, and joy SOAR as they learn and grow in their artistic skills and abilities!
  • Finally feel that deep sense of satisfaction and accomplishment that comes in knowing you're giving your kids a rich, well-rounded education by including art on a regular basis.

Meet Your Art Instructors:

Hi there! I’m Alisha...

I'm passionate about nurturing creativity and bringing the JOY of art to homeschooling families!

As an artsy-craftsy homeschooling mom, I embraced the Charlotte Mason educational philosophy early on. (Somehow I doubt Miss Mason was as messy as me, but…let’s cut ourselves some slack as creatives, right?)

Living books, poetry, and nature studies drummed out the rhythm of our days…but how on earth was I supposed to make art study happen on a regular basis? Sure, there were local art teachers (pricey), a handful of video courses (which unfortunately made my kids snore), and the stack of art books on my table loomed dangerously beside my antique table lamp.

I didn’t just want to expose my kids to art—I wanted them to experience it.

It wasn’t until my own kids were older that I finally had the time and bandwidth to do something about what I believed was a gaping void in the area of online art for kids and teens. So in 2014, I pulled out my art supplies, grabbed a camera, and finally put my years of creative “me time” with a paintbrush to use.

What began as a humble mixed media course for homeschoolers has grown into a full-blown membership, Masterpiece Society Studio, providing high-quality art education for homeschooling families all around the world!

From classical techniques to mixed media projects, Masterpiece Society offers a complete curriculum—blending both art expression and appreciation, that helps kids and teens explore their creativity, master multiple art mediums, and develop a lifelong love for art.

Now, for the first time ever we've curated a FULL school year's worth of art lessons for your whole family at an AMAZING price! The Artful Year is your beautiful, self-contained curriculum that is affordable and easy to implement.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We've got A's for your Q's

This is a crazy good deal. What's the catch?

Honestly? There’s no catch. 😊 The Artful Year is a fabulous deal because we genuinely want to make art accessible, doable, and delightful for as many homeschooling families as possible.

We understand that jumping into a full art membership isn’t the right next step for everyone, so this is our way of giving you a complete, open-and-go art curriculum at a fraction of the cost. It’s our gift to help your kids and teens grow in creative confidence, artistic skill, and a lifelong love of making art—without the overwhelm.

From which art courses are these lessons taken?

We've hand-picked 36 lessons to allow your family to celebrate seasonal changes, holidays, learn from famous artists, and integrate a few lessons with other school subjects.

The courses we chose from are: Springtime Splendor, Celebrate Summer, The Art of Fall, Winter Wonderland, Mixing with the Masters: Volumes One and Two, Art Through the Ages, Nature Journaling, Holiday Art, Playful Pet Portraits, Art Escapades, Mixing with the Masters: Selfies, Wonders of the World, LiterARTure, Monsterpiece Society, Historical ARTchives, Abstract Expressions, and GeomARTry.

What kind of art supplies will my kids need?

We suggest a set of acrylic craft paints in basic colors, a simple watercolor set, a box each of oil and/or soft pastels, a set of multi-purpose paint brushes, and a watercolor pad for each student.

You will receive a supplies list with the course showing which ones to purchase if you're on a tight budget and which ones to add as artistic skills grow.

What are the age recommendations for these lessons?

These lessons are recommended for ages 8 and up, although we’ve had younger kids participate with their older siblings. Most are designed for the whole family, and over the years moms, dads, and even grandmas have joined in. We purposely did not include any lessons from our K-2 or Art School courses for teens in order to keep them friendly for a larger age range.

What happens after I purchase this?

Upon purchase, you will receive an autogenerated email with the subject line: [Masterpiece Society] Login Details. Open the email and click on the link to set up your login and password to access the course.

What if my child(ren) can’t draw?

Most lessons have a template (tracing pattern) included in case your student doesn’t feel confident in his or her drawing abilities. These also make great coloring sheets for preschoolers to participate alongside their older siblings.

Can’t I just purchase this course or lessons from your store?
